Illnesses and injuries that are serious, life-changing, and potentially life-threatening require immediate intervention. Catastrophic injuries/ illnesses compromise approximately 3% of all claims, and account for over 40% of paid claims cost. Recovery can be delayed and cost can become excessive without proper management of a catastrophic injury or illness
At Eckman/Freeman our CATA Program is overseen by our experienced, dedicated supervisory staff. Our CATA nurses are trained to recognize and respond urgently to the immediate needs of the injured or ill, assuring the most appropriate care is received while providing family support and re-assurance. Our CATA nurses will work with the treatment team to develop and implement an individualized comprehensive plan, facilitate the most appropriate treatment, and maintain open communication; keeping the employer, adjuster, family informed and focused on maximum medical recovery.
